One Setup, One Session, One Market
The fastest path from inconsistent to consistent isn't more knowledge — it's radical reduction. How constraint built my edge.
Addition is easy, subtraction is edge
My worst year, I traded four markets across three sessions with a dozen setups. My first profitable year, I traded EURUSD, London session, one breakout model. Nothing else.
Why constraints work
Sample size. One setup traded fifty times produces data you can act on: expectancy, best conditions, failure modes. Twelve setups traded four times each produce anecdotes.
How to choose your one setup
Pick the setup you can screenshot fifty historical examples of in one evening. If you can't find fifty, the pattern isn't frequent enough to build a career on.
Then give it a season — a full quarter, journaled, before you're allowed to change anything.
