Thinking in decades, trading in sessions
How I organize capital around a trading career. Principles and frameworks only — nothing here is a recommendation to buy or sell anything.
Trading income is lumpy — plan like it
Payouts are irregular by nature. I run a 12-month expense floor in cash before a single dollar is allocated anywhere else. Boring, and the reason red quarters don't become emergencies.
The barbell: trading capital vs. everything else
Active trading capital is the small, high-risk end. The other end is deliberately dull long-horizon holdings I don't touch. The two never mix — funded accounts help enforce that separation.
Skill is the best-performing asset
The highest-return investment I've made was a year of unpaid screen time and journaling. Education compounds ahead of any market position — spend there first.
Trading involves substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for every investor. Past performance is not indicative of future results.
